Melody Seymour (B.Pod)
Principal Podiatrist

Melody gained her qualifications at Newcastle University in 2013 and spent her early career in two prominent podiatry clinics gaining valuable and diverse experience. Noticing that there was a shortage of podiatric services in the Hawks Nest region she began her business in 2016. Following this successful venture, Mel branched out to include the Williamtown and Tanilba Bay region.  

Melody strives to keep up to date with all the latest research and enjoys attending conferences and group meetings to continue her professional development. She has great attention to detail and enjoys helping her patients become pain-free and comfortable. Mel cares for all aspects of podiatry; from paediatrics, bio-mechanics, a painful corn, or uncomfortable ingrown toe nails. 

Melody's special interest in the prevention and management of the 'the Diabetic Foot' and biomechanics, saw her spending a large proportion of her university practical placement in Far North Queensland (Cairns Diabetes Centre) and Alice Springs Base Hospital. 

Melody grew up locally in the Port Stephens area, enjoying the great outdoor lifestyle with plenty of weekends spent camping and adventuring with her family and friends. 

Having a strong interest for travel, gardening and nature.

After a busy day at work Mel loves nothing more then spending time gardening with her husband Mark and little Edie & Alice. 

Melody's strong bond with her family, friends and community form an important role in her life.

TIM BLAIR (B.APPSCI.POD.M.A.POD.A,CPEDAU.SMA).

Tim has over 20 years experience as a private practice podiatrist.  

He enjoys all aspects of podiatric care with a special interest in sports podiatry, orthotic therapy and paediatrics.  

He is a sports tragic having in his younger years played rugby league and union, been a national junior long and triple jump champion, and later a professional sprinter.  

He still plays cricket for local team Wests and is a keen golfer when time allows.  Tim spent 15 years in Perth, Western Australia before returning to Newcastle in January 2017 to be closer to his wife’s family as he now has two young children.

Registrations include AHPRA Podiatrist and APRB Pedorthist- Modification Category and is a current member of the Australian Podiatry Association, Pedorthic Association of Australia and Sports Medicine of Australia.

Brett Spierings (B.Pod)

Brett, born and bred in the central coast, graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2019 with a strong passion for all aspects of podiatry. 

Brett has had the privilege of working with some very experienced podiatrists through university placement, having spent time in rural communities dealing with high risk patients, as well as being involved in the treatment process of elite athletes with sports injuries.

Brett enjoys all aspects of podiatry, including general nail and foot care, diabetes management and biomechanics. Brett has special interests in sports rehabilitation and paediatrics, and is currently completing a degree in physiotherapy to be able to provide a more holistic approach to patients health. 

Brett enjoys all sports, having grown up playing cricket for Newcastle and Sydney University, and being involved in the local surf clubs. Brett is a die hard surfer and spends his spare time travelling up and down the coast.

BRODIE PEARSON (B.POD)

Brodie, a recent Newcastle resident, graduated from University of Newcastle in 2019. 
Brodie is continuing his study in a degree in Physiotherapy to further his ability to provide holistic health care.

Brodie has an interest in all areas of podiatry with a strong passion for complex and chronic disease management, diabetes education and sports rehabilitation. 

Brodie’s interest in healthcare started at a young age and has lead him to gain 11 years experience in the health field prior to podiatry. As a student Brodie had the opportunity to experiance all aspects of podiatry including rural health, high risk foot clinics, refugee health and orthotic production.

Aside from Podiatry, Brodie is a keen sports person. Brodie has represented NSW and Hunter Netball, with a career highlight of captaining the NSW under 20s men’s team. In Brodie’s spare time he enjoys the coastal lifestyle and spending time outdoors.
